Dear Mr. Landers
One of the reasons why I want to go to Italy, is because I've been wanting to go ever since last year before I even knew I would be recommended to be in this program. Another reason I want to go and travel with this program is so that I can learn Italian people culture, and how they live their lives. I think I should be accepted to go to this trip because I think it'll make me an better person when I come back. I want to one day apply for college applications and put down that I have participated in People To People Student Ambassador,so that I'll have the opportunity to be able to go to a good college to become, a doctor, or lawyer (undecided). Other than that I think I'm pretty good student, and deserve to go, not everyone gets a opportunity like this.
Being an ambassador, in my opinion, means to be a leader, to lead to others into the right direction. What I've learned so far about this program is that President Eisenhower founded it, in 1956. Other presidents who have in involved were President Nixon, Presidents: Ford, John F. Kennedy, Clinton, G. W. Bush Sr., and G. W. Jr. President Eisenhower wanted to make this program so that we can make peace with other countries around the world.
So if its ok, Mr. Landers would it be ok if you could fill out my recommendation form, this means a lot to me, and I think I'm good enough to be in this program. I understand it's not for vacation, its actually for educational purposes so I can learn new things to experience in different countries. Thank You.
