The Value of my MBA
Pursing an MBA is one of my personal goals. I decided to pursue my MBA, because this is what I wanted to do, and I decided that no one was going to stop me from pursuing my dreams. Education have always been very important to me, I believe education is the foundation of life. Without some form of education I will not be able to survive in the world today.
I realize that my bachelor’s degree in business administration was not enough to pursue further achievements in my career and to explore what the world have to offer. In the last year, I came to realize that I would have to acquire more skills in order to climb the cooperate ladder and investing in an MBA would be a wise investment. My experiences have motivated me to pursue my MBA in order to achieve the ultimate goal.
My expectation from completing the MBA program; the program will boost my knowledge in managing skills, in thinking analytically, thinking strategically, quantitative skills, leadership skills and oral communication skills.
Pursuing an MBA requires a substantial commitment of both resources and time, it in itself is a very valuable assets. Each year, the Graduate Management Council [GMAC] conducts a comprehensive, global survey of students who had recently earned an MBA. When asked how satisfied they were with the value of the degree as compared with the financial pressures associated with earning it, 63% of respondents indicated that the degree was of excellent or outstanding value. (Graduate Management Admission Counsel [GMAC], 2006). Still another 29% percent indicated that the degree was of good value. (GMAC, 2006). In addition to appreciating the increase in earning capacity the typical graduate saw their income increase 41% upon earning the degree, graduates also reported the ways in which earning the degree helped them grow as individuals.
