Today computers and the internet go hand and hand with today’s jobs. Most of today’s jobs today require knowledge of both. The internet and computers has brought us a long way in many ways and facets in today’s society. It is important that Southwest Tennessee Community College encourage students today for tomorrows jobs because of the technology, environment, and precision needed for certain jobs.
As our society continues to grow, technology increasingly becomes a vital part of our life. Internet plays a huge role in communications with one another. Where people use to travel to meet each to conduct important meetings, the internet has provided means of people meeting and doing business live such as using web cams to see each face to face. This has saved people time and money in traveling. People are using the computer for means of communications. Communicating through emails has become the best known way in today’s fast paced life. Writing letters thru the Post Office is becoming a lost art so to speak. Computers are used for automation in production areas too. Computers are running programs that communicate to robots to perform certain task such as welding new cars together.
Computers are surrounding us everywhere we go in today’s environment 1. Automobiles we drive are being controlled by a computer that makes decisions, mathematical equations, and makes adjustments to fuel, air, and other functions all at same time while we are driving. 2. Our cities are growing, population is increasing, and more people are at risk from Mother Nature’s wrath, which makes it necessary for people to have weather radars in everyone’s environment. Safety is number one in our environment at work or home. Digital radar uses the latest computers and science technology students can learn to keep most people out of danger’s way. 3.
