Re: Management Behavior
Another issue of great concern which needs to be addressed is that of complying with employment laws and maintaining equality in the workplace. We need to remember to be objective and be vigilantof any unfair or unequal treatment. I am sure you all will be cautious not to intentionally discriminate, but what we need to be aware of is any adverse impact discrimination. To prevent such unintended outcomes goals need to be set, job duties clearly outlined, and adequate training provided if necessary. While there must be a set of base standards, as far as primary qualifications, we must also remember toevaluate employees and their job performance on an individual basis. I would like each of you to provide a report outlining each employee’s functions within the organization and their rate of pay. Since we will undoubtedly be adding new members to our current team, I want to compare and analyze our rate of pay per individual versus that of sales employees in similar industries and within InterClean, Inc., itself.
Once you have all met with your teams and have prepared your reports please let me know. I am open and available for any questions; do not hesitate to contact me regarding any concerns with this transition so as we can all assist in making it as seamless as possible. I look forward to this new endeavor and am sure we will continue to strive to be the best in our industry.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth A. DeBord
