Relationship of opportunities to career goals
These opportunities relate to my career goals because I am looking to get into the field of aviation. I would like to get more experience in the office and learning about how a Fixed Base of Operation (FBO) runs. Eventually I would like to be a pilot for UPS, but it takes many hours of flight building to reach that goal so until I can build up to that job, I would like to be around the airport as much as possible to keep my mind growing with the ample amount of information this field has to offer.
aCTIVITIES/MEMBORSHIPS
I have joined two aviation clubs that come highly recommended by everyone in the aviation world. Those clubs are Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), and the Ninety-Nines. AOPA can be used by anyone and has many great benefits such as an online flight resource center, networking with other pilots, etc. The Ninety-Nines is a club geared more towards women and the advancement of females in aviation. They offer many scholarship opportunities, hold an annual conference, and allow for great networking with the other members.

The other two internships I looked at covered different areas such as communication and marketing, lease administration, and accounts receivable/payable, where the one I wrote my resume around covers operation/administration. If I had chosen one of the other internships to apply for then I would have talked more about how I’ve taken accounting classes and a marketing class. I felt like this internship related better to what I would like to do and also the job I presently have, as I work as a cashier providing customer service.
Difficulties
The first and most difficult thing I came across was finding an internship. The websites on the school website had a hard time finding a job specific to the aviation world. I ended up using Google and...
