Michele Jacobson Jorge Evans English 101-11 10-7-08 Personal Narrative Thursday morning, we get up about 9. After showering, dressing and checking to make sure we have our tickets, we set off for Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Stopping at the gas station, I fill up my car and Allison and I each buy a lunchable for later. We’re both chattering away with what we’re looking forward to, what we want to ask the bands, and what we hope they play. We stop at Hardees about halfway there and get a burger. Once we finish, we decide eating fast food for our first meal of the day wasn’t a good idea because neither of us feel too well. Luckily, it’s still a couple hours of sitting in the car so hopefully by the time we get to the venue, we feel better. About 3 o’clock, we arrive at The Rave venue and park our car in what we thought was the right spot but are soon told to move to the other side of the lot. We grab our tickets and cameras, put our purses in the truck and go wait in line. There’s only about 10 or so people there because it’s a school day. It’s the end of January so it’s still really cold and since we don’t want to wear our jackets during the show, we left them in the car. Standing in 30 degree weather in just a sweatshirt is not comfortable so we talk security into letting us into the entry way which is a dark room lit only by a couple red light bulbs where we aren’t quite in to venue but warm. We wait about 2 hours and are let into the venue. Allison and I decide we don’t want to be the crowd with everyone dancing around and jumping so we stay in the back by the merch, but a couple shirts. I bought a pink Cobra Starship shirt but had no money for another. After Allison bought her couple things, I begged her to buy me a Metro Station shirt and I promised to pay her back. After about ten minutes of begging and teasing each other, she gives in. The Cab is the first band to play. I already knew and loved their music so I was dancing and singing and Allison immediately...
