Why it’s wrong for same-sex parents to raise children?
Parenting is one of the greatest joys any human being can experience no matter their gender is or who their partner is. These days, people turn their heads at gay parents because they think that everything should be traditional man and woman. Most gay and lesbians have children from their previous relationships; while some adopt, have surrogate partners, and artificial insemination. Most gays and lesbians have the mind frame that they would never be accepted by society as good parents. But it has changed just a little because there are a lot of same-sex couples and its increasing. Even though lesbians are accepted more than men couples. The US Census Bureau estimates that the percentage of same-sex couples raising children has more than doubled in the last 10yrs from 8% in 2000 to 19% in 2010. But that really depends on what state you are in; some states allow same-sex marriage. Like in North Carolina they have no tolerance of same-sex, second-parenting which is banned in there state.
There has been a lot of controversy with same sex couples raising children under the same house hold as them. Why same-sex parents are frowned upon when it consists to raising a child which is no different from a traditional heterosexual family. The answers to this issue at hand with same sex couples raising children goes with looking at the issues of gender behavior, gender identity concerns, and a person’s choice of sexual partners.
People don’t think same sex couples can raise a child like a traditional family. But in reality a child with a homosexual family does not have a problem with gender behavior. Every parent explains to their child what they need to know at certain times when they get older.
