Companies all over the world are continuously trying to improve their businesses to be more efficient and profitable. One of the ways companies do this is through improving their Information Technology systems. By improving systems, it can save time and money for companies; therefore, it will make the business more profitable. One of these companies is Riordan Manufacturing Incorporated. The current way this organization does business is truly inefficient, and they are trying to find ways to change this. Our team has decided to propose a new system to help Riordan. A Customer Relationship Management system will help Riordan unify their different branches and make them a more efficient business.

Riordan is a manufacturing company with several different locations that all have a role. According to "Riordan Manufacturing Inc. Employee Site" (2013), “Riordan Manufacturing is a global plastics manufacturer employing 550 people with projected annual earnings of $46 million.” Currently, the organization has 4 separate locations in California, Georgia, Michigan, and China. Each of these locations has a different function within the organization. Riordan also has several different departments consisting of Human resources, Finance, Sales and Marketing, Legal, Information Technology, and Operations.
The organization strives for good customer relations and to increase revenue. Riordan wants to develop long term relationships with their customers through practical prices, innovative solutions, keeping strong quality controls, and quick business orders ("Riordan Manufacturing Inc. Employee Site", 2013). Riordan uses its sales and marketing team in attempting to keep customers and bring in new customers.
