Situation Analysis and Problem Statement
InterClean, Inc. is facing many things in the cleaning and sanitation industry. They are currently a leader in their industry with an impeccable reputation, but to move forward and continue to grow the company must expand, provide full-service solutions to their clients, and provide the necessary training to all employees while working through the organizational changes to realign the company around the new service focus. InterClean needs to identify their current situation in the industry and figure out what issues and opportunities are present.
Situation Background (Step 1)
InterClean, Inc. (InterClean) is a major player in the $8 billion dollar cleaning and sanitation industry. InterClean understands that to remain competitive and realize growth targets the company must expand. Customers are no longer centered on which cleaning product cuts through the grime the fastest, but in the solutions and services that the company packages and provides. The company is currently facing human resource issues due to the merger of InterClean, Inc. with EnviroTech, Inc. In addition, the company must quickly define a recruiting plan to screen potential candidates to ensure they have the necessary background and skills set as well as need minimal orientation/training so that the budget can be used to train managers to implement the changes. In order to move forward, InterClean must first identify the challenges the company is facing.
