Your Decision to Pursue an Mba Degree

My name is Daniel Vasquez Contreras and I was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico on July 6th of 1981. I have lived in Hermosillo for approximately 26 years, doing all my school and professional education there. I have a bachelor degree in International Business from the Universidad Kino.

I did my first internship (2005) with JPMorgan Trade Services (Ford Motor Company supplier/Hermosillo, MX) for 6 months. I was hired to participate in a project of non-productive material disposition. My assignment was arranging all Mexican Customs documentation in order to sold, scrap or donates the chosen material.

My second internship (2005) I did it with Grupo Antolin (Ford Motor Company supplier/Hermosillo, MX) for 3 months. My assignment was giving support to the Material, Planning and Logistic department doing inventory verification, material planning and logistic support.

By the end of 2005, I received a job offer from JPMorgan (1st Internship). They hired me under the position of Customs Trade Analyst giving me the opportunity to apply my professional knowledge and developed my skills in the Automotive Industry. I stayed with them for almost 2 years.

In 2007, Continental Automotive Systems (Nogales, MX) hired me under the position of Customer Service Supervisor. This Company manufacture, sell and distribute automotive components to General Motors, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Ford, Nissan and Chrysler around the world. This is my present Job.

I live in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. I’m getting married in April; my fiancé lives in Tucson, Arizona. She was born there but raises all her life in Hermosillo.

Once I finish the MBA, I am planning to change my residence to California and continue my professional career there.
