Marketing Plan for VCunique’s

VCunique’s is a sole-proprietorship business that has the potential of being established in an area that is known for tourism. This business if specifically for the sale of unique quality items that are designed by unknown artists to the market of the general public. In order to do so, an in depth marketing plan should be published, which will provide an analysis of the market that the products will be offered. To be included in this analysis are the size and demographics of the market, potential competitors, and the strategies of pricing, promotion, distribution and sales support. All of these areas of marketing are essential to the achievement of the awareness of the new products that have become available and to the success of a small business. (University of Phoenix, 2006).
There are two other such small businesses in the area which will be competition in the seasonal months, yet they do not provide such items as VCunique’s would like to provide. Many of their items are cheap reproductions that can be found almost anywhere or bought at wholesale from local and non-local distributers. Their items do not have a personal touch or the value of being known as unique designs which probably reflects the small amount of business they do. These businesses are not located in well traveled areas of which the tourists familiarize themselves with and potential customers must have a prior knowledge that these businesses exist in order to visit them. VCunique’s would like to establish a business in an area that has a newer and more appealing atmosphere which provides various specialty shops that are ideal for VCunique’s to be associated with. In this way local competitors will be of minimal competition and VCunique’s will be in the market for the purchases known as impulse buys made by many tourists.
